Not exactly about a product this one but I loved this article by Maryalene LaPonsie, if nothing else it confirms something I’ve always suspected. Singling your kids out by giving them unusual names doesn’t necessarily do them any service. Kids, especially boys, with common names apparently go on to have more successful careers. They’ve just released the list of the top ten US boys and girls names for 2008. (I guess you have to wait till 2010 is done with before Social Security release 2009 top tens.) My Holly isn’t in there, but I’m glad to see Will sitting comfortably in the top ten. Do you have a kid with an unusual name? What do you think of unusual baby names?
