As parents, the safety of our children is our number one concern. It was with some dismay I heard the breaking news of yet another stroller recall.
Around 1.5 million Graco strollers sold through major retailers have been recalled. As with the Mclaren recall last November it is feared that these strollers may present a ‘laceration and amputation’ hazard when repositioning the stroller canopy.
Models include the Graco Alano, Passage and Spree strollers. The recall applies to strollers manufactured in between October 2004 to February 2008. You can locate model numbers and dates of manufacture on the underside of the frame just by the rear wheels.
If you have concerns about the stroller you are using visit http://www.cpsc.gov . I think we can expect a review of stroller safety in the near future, let’s hope so for the sake of all our little fingers
